Boil Water Advisory lifted and Wakefield Spring opened

The Municipality of La Pêche would like to inform residents that Wakefield Spring water is now safe to drink. The Ministère de l'Environnement confirmed this morning that tests conducted last week to bring the water back into compliance were successful. Thus, the Spring is now opened. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please remember that the Municipality carries out drinking water tests on a more frequent basis than required under the Règlement sur la qualité de l'eau potable (RQEP) for this type of facility. However, it cannot guarantee the quality of water drawn between two samples. It is advised to keep an eye on signage around the Spring to ensure a boil water advisory is not in effect.
